Hi! I’m Rahul, a software engineer based in London.

Most of my professional life has been spent building backend systems, distributed applications, and the infrastructure around them. I tend to like languages and tools that help make software easier to reason about, but I care just as much about whether a system is humane to work on, maintain, and evolve.

My interests are centered on programming languages, software design, and the craft of engineering, but they do not stop there. Lately, I have also been thinking a great deal about AI, and about how these new kinds of intelligence may reshape the way we work, create, and live. I also drift toward linguistics, philosophy, science, aesthetics, and the occasional obsession that is too interesting to leave alone.

This site is where I put writing, notes, experiments, and whatever else seems worth making room for. Some of it will be technical. Some of it will be personal. Some of it will just be me trying to understand something properly.
